Motorbike, Scooter
Be carefull if you drive a Motorbike or a Scooter in Thailand. Do not rely on your predence!
Many people in Thailand drive really bad and do not know road traffic rules (for example tourist who drive the first time on a Scooter).
Most of the roads in Thailand are in a very good condition i was surprised about that. But when it rains the roads can get super slippery even on the highway.
The worst are the winding mountain roads in forests. I guess it has something to do with the less rain and flower dust that makes the roads slippery.
On highways scooters drive on the rescue lane. Be aware of the sideroads sometimes they do not see you or do not care.
Marine life, Diving, Snorkeling
About 8 years ago i have done some diving around Phuket. And snorkeled a lot on different spots. Generally i would say the marine life in the Amdaman sea
is more beatiful and in a better condition. In the gulf of Thailand are still nice spots.
The most beatiful dives i had in similan island there i saw on my first dive a manta ray! Richeleaux Rock is also nice. But you don't have to go that far. I had nice dives on Koh Pipi aswell full of marine life and a ship wreck. Around the Racha island are aswell nice spots for a one day divetrip. Once we had a whale shark beside our boat in this area.
